$-13\times 11$ in $mod 17$
$\Rightarrow -13\times 11=-143$ in $mod 17$
next look for the number that will multiple 17 to give 143 or a number close to 143 but not more than 143
$\Rightarrow 17 \times 8=136$
$\Rightarrow -143+136=-7$
since the number gotten is negative (-7),add the modulus to it
$\Rightarrow -7+17=10$
$\therefore -13\times 11\equiv 10$ in $mod 17$
