$-4\times -3$ in $mod 7$
$\Rightarrow -4\times -3=12$ in $mod 7$
next look for the number that will multiple 7 to give 12 or a number close to 12 but not more than 12
$\Rightarrow 7 \times 1=7$
What must be added to 7 to make it 12? is 5
$\therefore -4\times -3\equiv 5$ in $mod 7$
