The four levels of statistical measurement are Nominal, Ordinal, Interval and Ratio.
Nominal measurements are categorical measurements. They are data that can be placed in categories. For example: Male and Female, grade 10 and grade 11 students, etc
Ordinal measurements are data that can be ranked. For example: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc
Interval measurement are numerical measurements that does not have an absolute zero. For example, temperature measurement (the temperature of a body is zero does not mean there is no temperature for the body.)
Ratio measurement are numerical measurements that have an absolute zero. (For example: counts. The number of children a couple has. Here zero children means no children.)
