    Sample space={1,2,3,4,5,6}

    \rightarrow Prob.(3) or Prob.(4)

    \rightarrow \dfrac{1}{6}+\dfrac{1}{6}

    \rightarrow \dfrac{2}{6}=\dfrac{1}{3}

    There is only one side having the number 3, so the probability of throwing a ‘3’ is one over a total of 6 sides = \dfrac{1}{6}.

    Similarly, there is only one side having the number 4, so the probability of throwing a ‘4’ is one over a total of 6 sides = \dfrac{1}{6}.

    In probability, ‘or’ means addition, so the probability of throwing ‘a 3’ OR ‘a 4’ is \dfrac{1}{6}+\dfrac{1}{6}=\dfrac{2}{6}=\dfrac{1}{3}.
